Fiscal Conservative

While serving as CEO of the Champion for Children Foundation for twenty-three (23) years, many initiatives were established including the Children’s Advocacy Center, the Safehouse for battered women, and the Circle Theatre. The Foundation always lived within their means, and never borrowed money from lending institutions.

• Keep taxes low. Raising taxes should be a last resort, after all other options have been explored. 
• Seek more efficiencies with annual budget 

SupportLaw Enforcement, Emergency Management and Fire Rescue

• Support law enforcement and first responders to effectively keep our community safe. 

Support our Veterans, who make up 20% of the Highlands County population 

• Support our Veterans Services Department that assists our veterans with their service connected disabilities 

Support “senior saints” who represent nearly 40% of our population.

• It is vital to be responsive to their needs.

Promote Business-Friendly environment in Highlands County 

• Keep taxes as low as possible 
• Eliminate unnecessary business regulations 
• Foster private sector businesses in our community 
• Attract and support entrepreneurs
